What ages do you teach?

FootLites offers classes for students age 3 through 18, at beginning through advanced levels

Do you have classes for boys?

Yes! We welcome boys to take any of our classes offered. Depending on our male enrollment will determine if we have a class for ALL boys or if they will be intermixed with girls.

May I take a free trial class?

Yes! If you are interested in attending class at FootLites please call us at (509) 697-9898 or send email us at footlitesdanceselah@gmail.com to schedule a free trial class in the genre of your choice.

What does my dancer need to wear?

Please view our dress code on our Rates and Policies page for further information. 

Am I able to view class each week?

Each room has viewing windows that will be open the first full week of each month. Curtains are closed the rest of the month to keep dancers focused throughout the class. Special circumstances can be arranged prior to class with your instructor if needed.

Will I be the oldest in the class?

Class placement is determined by the level of dancer. Each level has age recommendations.

When is the latest I can enroll my child?

Enrollment deadlines depend on the age and class. Costumes are ordered for all classes in January for the Spring Recital. If a dancer is wanting to enroll after this date please email us at footlitesdanceselah@gmail.com for more information.

Do I have to participate in the dance recital?

Everyone is welcome to participate in the annual dance recital. It is highly recommended as a part of the students dance education experience, but is not mandatory.

When is tuition due? How do I make payments?

Tuition is due the 1st of each month with a 10 day grace period. A $15 late fee is applied to all students with an outstanding balance. Payments may be made online via your Parent Portal, in the studio or by mailing a check. All forms of payment are accepted. Do you offer any discounts?

For families with siblings, a 10% discount will be applied for subsequent family members. A 10% discount is applied for tuition paid in full by opening day of our Fall Session. (First Monday of Classes in September)  Full Year Tuition must be paid by cash or check to be eligible for the discount.

What dance style should a young child participate in?

To set the proper movement and knowledge base, FootLites recommends that all young students begin in a Combination Class that includes ballet and tap. Each subject offered in the Combination Class provides students with important experience and information that they can continue to build on.

How do I know if my child is placed in the correct class level?

Securing proper class levels is an on-going process in each class throughout the year. Please feel free to speak with your child's instructor for additional information.

If I want to speak to a teacher, should I catch them after class?

Often times teacher's schedules do not allow for a break between classes. You are very important to us so please leave a message for the teacher at the front desk.

What other fees can I expect when enrolling in a dance class?

Do you offer summer classes?

We do offer a 6-week summer session for all ages. Our schedule will be available in April. Please like our Facebook page to keep informed of summer class announcements.
