FootLites Dance Studio was the first dance studio to be established in Selah in 1992. Mary Jill Rodgers opened the studio after moving from Clarkston, WA and leaving the studio that was owned by her mother. Mary Jill’s daughter, Mandi Case, also shares in the family's passion for dance and is currently a head instructor with FootLites.
The highly trained staff at FootLites provides a fun and positive teaching atmosphere, creative and entertaining choreography, proper technique training, and performance opportunities; including a professionally-run annual Spring Recital that is held at the historic Capitol Theatre.
Whether you are a first time dancer of any age who would like to discover the joy of dance; a dancer who enjoys a weekly Recreational dance class for fun and activity; an experienced dancer looking for an opportunity to dance with a competition team; or simply looking to enhance your skills, then FootLites Dance Studio is the studio for you!
For those dancers wanting to take their dancing to the next level, FootLites competition team, Dance Explosion, holds auditions every summer.
The mission of FootLites Dance Studio is to share with each student our passion for dance and to create a love for dance in their life. That Mission is the same today as it was when the studio was first established in 1992!
Realizing that dance is education first, we work hard to build:
1. A positive self-esteem
2. A respect for oneself and others
3. The physical and mental abilities necessary to succeed in their chosen area(s) of dance
Most importantly, the staff and faculty work to make parents and students a part of the FootLites Dance Family and enjoy that relationship for a lifetime!
